Matthew S. Da Vega, Esq. is a graduate of the University of California in Santa Barbara, receiving his B.A. in Political Science in 1993. He then attended the University of San Francisco, School of Law. receiving his Juris Doctor in 1997. Since graduating law school and passing the California Bar exam he has worked both in-house for technology companies and in private practice as a Plaintiff's civil litigation lawyer for the past 7 years. He was employed with the law firm of Brayton & Purcell, LLP in Novato, CA from 2000 - 2002, practicing in the areas of plaintiff's personal injury and product defect litigation. He has most recently been employed with the law firm of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP based out of San Francisco, CA from 2002 to the 2006, practicing in the areas of plaintiff's personal injury, product defect, consumer cases, and class actions. Mr. Da Vega has also been an assistant professor at Cal State East Bay teaching Civil Litigation I and II at the Hayward campus of the CSUEB Paralegal Studies Program.

Mr. Da Vega is licensed to practice law in California, U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. District Court. He is a member of California Bar Association, San Francisco Bar Association, Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, and Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
